Job summary

Schaeffler India seeks an experienced Power Electronics Engineer to design and develop HV power electronics for automotive traction inverters, DC-DC, and OBC. You will run simulations, plans tests, and validate designs with suppliers to optimize reliability and cost.

Required 3–5 years in HV power electronics, strong knowledge of LTspice and MATLAB/Simulink, and hands-on testing experience. This on-site role offers development opportunities within a global tech company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s & Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years in High Voltage Power Electronics architecture and design.
• Experience deriving EE requirements from subsystem & stakeholders using Polarion.
• Design and development of automotive traction inverters, DC-DC, OBC.
• Hands-on with LTspice and MATLAB/Simulink preferred.
• Proficient in performing WCA using Mathcad.
• Understanding of reliability, EMI/EMC testing for validation.
• Familiar with semiconductor physics and packaging technologies (DBC, AMB...).
• Experience in HV testing and validation (HV Inverter, DC-DC, OBC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop power electronics circuits (gate drivers, DC-link, sensors, EMI filters).
• Test and analyze gate/control boards; develop test plans.
• Perform simulations (LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink) and FMES/DFMEA support.
• Develop verification plans and execute design verification.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve reliability, cost, and scalability.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge on HV inverter, DC-DC & OBC architecture
• Design and develop power electronics circuits (Gate drivers, DC-link, Sensors, EMC filters, Isolated and non-isolated power supplies, IGBT/SiC based Power Modules).
• Test and analyze gate/control boards.
• Perform simulations (LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink), WCA (Mathcad), FMES/DFMEA support
• Develop test plans and execute design verification.
• Work with semiconductor suppliers and partners to improve reliability, cost, and scalability.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in High Voltage Power Electronics architecture and design
• Experience in deriving EE requirements from Sub system & stake holder requirements using Polarion
• Design and development of Power electronics products mainly automotive traction inverters, DC-DC, OBC
• Hands-on experience with simulation tools (LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink) preferred
• Proficiant in performing WCA using Mathcad
• Understanding of Reliability, Electrical & EMI/EMC testing methods for product validation
• Familiar with semiconductor physics, packaging technologies (DBC, AMB, sintering, wire-bonding, press-pack, etc.) is a plus
• Experience in HV testing and validation mainly in HV Inverter, DC-DC & OBC
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
