Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru seeks a Software Download OTA Developer to design and verify embedded software for ECU reprogramming, bootloaders and secure OTA clients. You will handle feature estimation, detailed design, implementation, integration and robust verification across fault conditions.

Key requirements include Embedded C/C++, UDS/DoIP, CAN/Ethernet, bootloader and cryptography basics, with AUTOSAR or RTOS/Linux experience and Git/CI/CD practice.

Qualifications

• Embedded C/C++ and microcontroller experience required.
• UDS/DoIP, CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, bootloader and diagnostics knowledge.
• AUTOSAR or RTOS/Linux development background and Git/CI‑CD usage.
• Basic cryptography and secure–coding familiarity.
• S32K/S32G/V850 or similar platforms experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Develops and verifies embedded software for ECU reprogramming and OTA clients.
• Implements download, authentication, integrity checking and rollback features.
• Develops UDS/DoIP services and bootloader configuration.
• Performs unit, bench and integration testing under nominal and fault conditions.

Your Role

Develops and verifies embedded software for ECU reprogramming, bootloaders and secure over-the-air update clients.

• RFQ / Concept - Estimate features and identify platform/diagnostic constraints.
• Planning / Architecture - Refine requirements, detailed design and test cases.
• Implementation / Integration - Implement, review, integrate and debug update software.
• Verification / Release - Execute robustness, power-interruption, rollback and recovery tests.
• Production / Operations - Analyze campaign/service issues and deliver controlled fixes.
• Implement download, authentication, integrity checking, flash programming, activation, rollback and recovery functions.
• Develop UDS/DoIP services, bootloader configuration, memory drivers and update-client interfaces.
• Perform unit, bench and integration testing under nominal and fault conditions.
• Debug timing, memory, power-loss, communication and compatibility issues.
• Maintain code quality, traceability and release documentation.

Your Background

• Embedded C/C++, microcontrollers, flash/memory concepts and hardware debugging.
• UDS, DoIP, CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, bootloader and diagnostics experience.
• AUTOSAR or RTOS/Linux development, Git, CI/CD and unit testing.
• Basic cryptography and secure-coding knowledge.
