Job summary

Aptiv invites an experienced embedded security software architect to own the security software architecture for ECUs and domain controllers.

You will translate cybersecurity goals, TARA results and customer requirements into software requirements, interfaces and reusable security patterns, and provide technical leadership across development teams.

Qualifications

• 10–16 years of embedded security software experience.
• Mastery of ISO/SAE 21434, TARA, cryptography, key management and secure lifecycle engineering.
• Architecture modeling, interface Definition, debugging and cybersecurity verification experience.
• Clear customer-facing communication and Automotive SPICE discipline.

Job description

Your Role

Owns the embedded product-security software architecture and translates cybersecurity goals, TARA results and customer requirements into implementable software requirements, interfaces and reusable security patterns. RFQ / Concept - Shape cybersecurity scope, assumptions and estimates; identify reuse and technology risks. Planning / Architecture - Derive software security architecture and interfaces from cybersecurity concept and TARA Implementation / Integration - Guide feature implementation and integration; approve deviations and technical decisions. Verification / Release - Own architecture evidence, security design review closure and release readiness. Production / Operations - Support vulnerability analysis, incident response, secure-update maintenance and lessons learned. Lead secure software architecture for ECUs, domain controllers and software-defined vehicle platforms. Define requirements and designs for secure boot, secure update, HSM/crypto services, secure communication, access control, diagnostics and logging. Review third-party and platform solutions; resolve cross-layer security issues with systems, hardware, manufacturing and validation teams. Maintain bidirectional traceability from cybersecurity goals to design, implementation and verification evidence. Provide technical leadership, design reviews and coaching to cybersecurity developers.

Your Background

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline Exp of 10 to16 years, strong embedded C/C++, AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive, Linux/QNX/RTOS and vehicle-networking experience. Working mastery of ISO/SAE 21434, TARA, cryptography, key management and secure lifecycle engineering. Architecture modeling, interface definition, debugging and cybersecurity verification experience. Clear customer-facing communication and Automotive SPICE discipline undefined undefined Platform security, PKI, penetration-test remediation, vulnerability management and ISO 24089 exposure.
