Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. in Pune is seeking an Embedded Senior Software Engineer to design and implement low-level firmware, drivers, bootloaders, and BSPs for resource-constrained systems.

You will collaborate with hardware and RTL teams, optimize firmware, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, using Linux, Git, Jira and Confluence.

4–6 years of experience with strong C/C++, Python, RTOS, and ARM Cortex is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++, with Python proficiency.
• Experience with RTOS based drivers and low-level firmware development.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-level drivers, bootloaders, BSPs, middleware, and application firmware.
• Work closely with hardware, RTL and DV engineers to develop and debug.
• Increase efficiency through automation and scripting; apply appropriate tools.
• Utilize source control and maintain software development and release processes.
• Debug hardware-software integration issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers.
• Develop production-quality software, including testing, documentation, static analysis, and CI/CD/CT.
• Interact with hardware, software and other teams to validate SoCs with minimum delays.

General Summary:

Embedded Senior Software Engineer

Requirements:

• Strong programming skills in C and C++ for resource-constrained systems
• Proficent in Python programming
• Excellent knowledge in low level firmware/ baremetal HW/IP driver writing.
• Should have experience to develope and debug RTOS based drivers.
• Exposure to Silicon Bringup Silicon Validation and is big plus
• Indepth understand of the HW is must
• Should have exposure to firmware optimisations
• Good knowledge of how to use embedded development tools such as JTAG and associated debug tools
• Work experience on ARM Cortex platform/ MIPS/RISC-V cpus.
• Work Experience with FPGAs based platforms is plus
• Strong communication skills to exchange ideas and work as a team
• Should have good knowledge of System software stack, Power Management, High speed peripherals, USB, SDIO,Ethernet,PCIe etc and memory subsystem like DDR/LPDDR etc.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
• Work Experience with FPGAs based platforms is plus
• Work experience on Heterogeneous and Multiprocessor SoC platforms.
• Exposure to Pre-Silicon environment with RTL Co-Simulations is plus point
• Experience with development environments such as Linux, Git, Jira and Confluence
