Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to work on core driver development for low-speed peripheral devices such as I2C, SPI and UART across RTOS and Linux environments.

You will debug and resolve driver issues, collaborate with hardware teams to define specifications, and document design, development and testing processes. 7+ years in embedded systems with C proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with embedded systems.
• Experience in driver design and development on RTOS or embedded OS.
• Proficient in C.
• Understanding of multiprocessor architecture and real-time concepts.
• Driver development on multicore ASIC platforms with SDLC.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to derive software specs.
• Document design, development and testing processes.
• Driver support for I2C, SPI, UART and PCIe.

General Summary

• Job function: Core Technologies Bus engineer responsible for working on low speed peripheral device drivers such as i2c, SPI UART etc.. across RTOS and Linux environment
• Skills/experience:
• Responsibilities:
  • Debug and resolve issues in drivers reported by internal test teams as well as by customers.

• Knowledge and experience in driver design, development on one or more operating systems including RTOS or any embedded operating system.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must be proficient in C.
• Good understanding of microprocessor, multiprocessor architecture.
• Good understanding of basic real-time/embedded programming concepts & RTOS concepts
• Driver design and development on multiprocessor and multithreaded ASIC platforms with SDLC cycle.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and develop software specifications for embedded systems.
• Document software design, development, and testing processes for reference and future maintenance.
• Drivers development/support includes 1wire, 2-wire, serial peripheral industry standard protocol such as I2C,SPI and UART, PCIE.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
