Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Pune seeks an Embedded Senior Software Engineer to design and optimize low-level drivers, BSPs and firmware for resource-constrained systems.

The role requires strong C/C++ skills, Python proficiency, and deep hardware understanding, with experience in RTOS drivers, ARM Cortex or RISC-V platforms, and FPGA exposure. Collaboration with HW/RTL teams and a focus on CI/CD and pre-silicon work is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong programming in C and C++ for resource-constrained systems.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Excellent knowledge in low-level firmware and HW/IP driver writing.
• Experience developing and debugging RTOS based drivers.
• Exposure to silicon bring-up and validation is a plus.
• Deep understanding of hardware and firmware optimisations.
• Experience with JTAG and embedded debugging tools.
• Work on ARM Cortex, MIPS, or RISC-V platforms; FPGA exposure is a plus.
• Familiar with Linux, Git, Jira and Confluence environments.

General Summary:

Embedded Senior Software Engineer

Requirements:

• Strong programming skills in C and C++ for resource-constrained systems
• Proficent in Python programming

• Exposure to Silicon Bringup Silicon Validation and is big plus
• Indepth understand of the HW is must

• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
• Work Experience with FPGAs based platforms is plus
• Work experience on Heterogeneous and Multiprocessor SoC platforms.
• Exposure to Pre-Silicon environment with RTL Co-Simulations is plus point
• Experience with development environments such as Linux, Git, Jira and Confluence

Responsibilities

• Develop low-level drivers, bootloaders, BSPs, middleware, and application firmware.
• Work closely with hardware,RTL and DV engineers to develop and debug.
• Increase efficiency through automation and application of appropriate scripting, tools, and innovation
• Utilize source control tools/techniques and maintain software development and release processes.
• Debug complex hardware-software integration issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers, and other laboratory equipment.
• Develop production-quality software, including testing, documentation, static analysis, and CI/CD/CT
• Interacting with hardware, software and other teams to validate SoCs with minimum delays

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
• OR
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
• OR
• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

B.E/B.Tech, or M.E/M.Tech/M.S.(Electronics/Electronics and Communication/Computer Science)
