Qualifications

• BE Electronics degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience in embedded design.
• Excellent in Embedded C language programming and good in C++.
• Strong knowledge of microcontroller/hardware architecture.
• Ability to operate lab instruments (DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Understand requirement specifications and translate into design considerations across electrical/electronics/embedded firmware and safety, EMC, reliability standards.
• Develop embedded firmware interfacing with sensors (temperature, pressure, etc.), IO signals, and various communication protocols.
• Interface to microcontrollers/ADCs/DACs/display chips and actuators like motors or relays.
• Design analog signal processing and control functions (scaling, amplification, filtering, PID).
• Test designs in in-house and external labs and at field sites to prove requirements.

Purpose of the Role:

Embedded Software development for FM Products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understand requirement specifications of the product and take the same into
  consideration while making the design - electrical/electronics/Embedded
  firmware/communication protocols/environmental/EMC/safety/Industrial
  design/performance/reliability and other requirements in accordance with
  applicable standards.
• Development of embedded firmware which include and Interface to:
  a. Sensors of various types (e.g. temperature/pressure/pH/conductivity/DO
  /piezoelectric/optical/Hall/Ultrasonic/piezoresistive/magnetic/current/voltage/fr
  equency/displacement etc.)
  b. Input and output signals of various
  voltages/current/frequencies/bandwidths/dynamic ranges/etc. analog and
  digital
  c. Various communication protocol physical layers (e.g.
  UART/RS232/RS485/I2C/SPI/HART/PROFIBUS/FIELDBUS/Wireless-
  Bluetooth, LORA, WiFI, HART and GSM)
  d. Display devices and keypad devices (UI)
  e. Various microcontrollers/ADCs/DACs/Display chips and various other
  special function chips
  f. Power divers and Actuators (e.g. motors/relays/SSDR/piezo valves/etc.
• Are suitable for:
  a. 2-wire transmitters, actuators, indicators, convertors and sensors (4-
  20mA), IEPE vibration sensors.
  b. Battery powered sensors and wireless devices
• Design various analog signal processing and control functions like scaling -
  voltage, current, transconductance, transimpedance amplification/filtering -linear
  Or switching/integration/differentiation/multiplying/compression/clipping/clamping/lin
  earising/isolation/ON-OFF/PID/etc.
• Test the implemented design and prove all the requirements with in-house lab
  tests/external lab tests/field site tests/etc.

Qualification and Requirements:

1. BE Electronics, ;TC, Computer Science.
2. Experience 5+Years
3. Excellent in Embedded C language programming and Good in C++ language programming
4. Excellent knowledge of Microcontroller / Microprocessor architect and hardware.
5. Be able to operate and use various test and measurement labs. instruments like
DMM, DSO, Function Generator, Signal Generator, Pulse generator, Counter
timer, Spectrum analyser, LCR meter, HV tester, Network analyser, etc.
