Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Karnataka to design and optimize real-time embedded software for ARM-based MCUs. You will work on drivers, bring-up, and TCP/IP networking, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include debugging at the driver level, collaborating with global teams, and contributing to hardware-software integration. A BE/BTech/ME/MTech in EE/EC/CS/IT is required, with 5–10 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Embedded C Programming, C++ (embedded) and ARM-based embedded systems.
• Strong experience in RTOS (Open or commercial) and peripheral drivers with interrupts, I2C/SPI/UART.
• TCP/IP socket programming experience and strong debugging skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and ability to work with global teams.
• Ability to read hardware schematics and debug driver level issues.

Join us as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer and help design software solutions that bring hardware systems to life. You'll tackle real-time challenges, optimize performance, and ensure our embedded solutions meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.

What will you do?

• Extensive experience in Embedded C Programming and embedded systems and Peripherals drivers and low level bring up of I2C, SPI, UART
  with interrupts Debugging skills for Embedded low level .
• Proactively identify risks, gaps, and dependencies early in the development lifecycle and communicate mitigation strategies effectively.

What are the key skills we are looking for?

Primary Skills (Technical Competency):
Must have skill- Extensive experience in Embedded C Programming, C++ (embedded) and in embedded systems based on ARM Micro controllers.

• Strong working experience in RTOS (Open or commercial RTOS )
• Working experience in Peripherals drivers (Flash .. etc) and low level bring up of I2C, SPI,UART with interrupts
• Working experience on TCP/IP socket programming
• Debugging skills for Embedded low level is must
• Good interpersonal communication skills and experience in working with global teams
• Able to understand Hardware schematics and debug driver level issues

Nice to Have

• Hands on experience in using Oscilloscope
