Job summary

Tekskills Inc. invites seasoned engineers to join our team for advanced networking and embedded development. You will work on Linux kernel components, driver-level features, and high-performance network applications.

Expect hands-on work with OpenWRT, OPKG/RPM packaging, and cloud orchestration to support telecom and WiFi environments. Ideal candidates have strong C/C++ background, 10 years of experience, and solid skills in TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and WiFi standards.

Qualifications

• Strong programming experience (around 10 years) in C/C++.
• Experience with Linux Kernel Programming.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and Microservices architecture.
• Experience with databases and Ovs-db networking database.
• NoSQL experience (MongoDB, Redis) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development experience for OpenWRT and creating packages like OPKG and RPM.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills.
• Scripting skills in Python, Groovy, BusyBox (ash) and related tools.
• Experience with test automation framework for smoke testing.

Description:

• Updated JD: Strong programming experience (around 10 years) in C, C++.
• Experienced Linux Kernel Programming.
• Familiarity with:
• REST APIs / Microservices architecture
• Experience with databases:
• Experience in Ovs-db networking database
• NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Git (commit, branch, merge, rebase)
• Experience in test automation framework to do smoke testing.
• Strong experience with developing features for OpenWRT and experience in creating package like OPKG and RPM is a must.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills
• Experience in bootstrapping development and Strong scripting skills python, groovy, busyBox(ash and tools), etc.
• Understanding of:
• WiFi protocols and standards
• Networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, DHCP, DNS, Multicast, Map-T, IP administration)
• Experience in Wi-Fi concepts like AP, Hotspot, Security, Bands, etc
• Experience in telecom or networking domain is highly preferred
• WiFi standards (Wi-Fi 5/6/6E/7), CPE, DOCSIS, RDKB or any native broadband solutions is an must.
• Exposure to performance optimization in networked systems
• Experience working with cloud platform to understand the orchestration between systems.
