Job summary

Tekskills Inc. in Delhi seeks a seasoned firmware/networking engineer with about 10 years of C/C++ programming experience. You will work on Linux kernel programming, OpenWRT features, and building packages like OPKG and RPM.

The role requires hands-on skills with REST APIs, microservices, WiFi protocols, TCP/IP networking, and performance-tuning across distributed systems, with a preference for telecom or networking domains. Experience with Git, test automation, and cloud orchestration is valued.

Qualifications

• Strong programming experience (around 10 years) in C and C++.
• Experience in Linux kernel programming.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with databases including NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Git (commit, branch, merge, rebase).
• Experience in test automation framework to do smoke testing.
• Strong experience with developing features for OpenWRT and creating packages like OPKG and RPM.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills.
• Strong scripting skills: Python, Groovy, BusyBox (ash and tools).
• Understanding of WiFi protocols and standards; Networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, DHCP, DNS, Multicast, MAP-T, IP administration).
• Experience in Wi-Fi concepts like AP, Hotspot, Security, Bands.
• Experience in telecom or networking domain is highly preferred.
• WiFi standards (Wi-Fi 5/6/6E/7), CPE, DOCSIS, RDKB or any native broadband solutions is a must.
• Exposure to performance optimization in networked systems.
• Experience working with cloud platforms to understand orchestration between systems.
