SHEARWATER HEALTH, located in Chennai, is seeking an experienced Medical Coder to review records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E&M codes for OP and IP encounters. The role requires knowledge of payer regulations and documentation requirements to ensure compliance.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of medical coding experience and a certification (AAPC/AHIMA) is preferred. Office-based position with emphasis on accuracy, productivity, and quality standards in coding processes.

Formación

• Graduate in Life Sciences or any relevant discipline.
• Certified coder preferred (AAPC CPC/COC or AHIMA CCS/CCS-P).
• Strong understanding of E&M coding guidelines.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Experience coding physician services in Outpatient and/or Inpatient settings.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR platforms and encoder tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced EM OP/IP Medical Coding Specialist responsible for reviewing and assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and Evaluation & Management (E&M) codes for Outpatient (OP) and Inpatient (IP) encounters. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of coding guidelines, payer regulations, and documentation requirements to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
