Job summary

PAIX Services seeks an experienced E/M Inpatient & Outpatient Coder in Chennai. The role requires strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding for both IP and OP encounters, with focus on documentation accuracy and compliance.

You will review records, ensure proper code assignment, collaborate with providers for clarification, and stay updated with guidelines. HIPAA compliance and mentoring responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HIM or related field preferred.
• CPC, CCS, or equivalent coding certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of E/M coding experience in IP settings.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and coding rules.
• Proficient in coding tools and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign appropriate E/M codes for IP services.
