Job summary

Savista is seeking a Medical Coder to provide coding services for health providers with a focus on accuracy in documentation review and coding for varied visit types. The role requires a life sciences background and professional certifications.

Responsibilities include coding for outpatient, inpatient and observation visits, ICD-10 diagnosis codes, and modifiers while adhering to LCD/NCD/NCCI policies. Rotational shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation in life sciences with backgrounds like Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Nursing or Pharmacy.
• CIC/CCS/CPC certification from AAPC/AHIMA is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Willing to work rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code physician services by reviewing medical records and encounter forms.
• Code for Outpatient, Inpatient and Observation visits, ICD-10 and modifiers as per guidelines.
• Experience with facility coding (immunizations, vaccinations, infusions, injections, HCPCS CPT).
• Understand client requirements and project specifications.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and turnaround time.

THE POSITION:

A medical coders main goal is to provide coding services to all the health providers who get paid for medical services rendered.

PREFERRED CANDIDATES :

• Graduation, life science background preferably Bio-Chemistry, Bio-chemistry, Microbiology, Physiotherapist, Pharmacy and Nursing. Minimum of 2 years EM Outpatient, Inpatient, and observation
• Should be CIC/CCS/CPC certified through AAPC/AHIMA
• Strong knowledge in anatomy and physiology
• Willing to work for Rotational shifts

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Accurately code physician practitioner services through review of medical record documentation and encounter forms for Outpatient facility.
• Assign EM levels pertaining to Office visit, EM Inpatient & Observation visit, Preventive visit, Critical care codes, ICD-10 diagnosis codes, and modifiers based on documentation, government teaching physician documentation requirements and LCD/NCD/ NCCI policies.
• Should have working experience in facility coding (Immunizations, Vaccinations, Infusions, Injections, HCPCS CPT series).
• Understand the client requirements and specifications of the project.
• Ensure that deliverable to the client is adhered to the quality standards and productivity TAT.
