Job summary

Savista is seeking a qualified Medical Coder in Chennai to provide precise coding for physician services, including Outpatient, Inpatient and Observation encounters. Your tenure should include appropriate certification and solid knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Role requires 2 years of EM coding experience, willingness to work rotational shifts, and ability to meet client quality standards and productivity targets.

Qualifications

• Graduation in life sciences preferred.
• CIC/CCS/CPC certification through AAPC/AHIMA required.
• 2 years EM Outpatient, Inpatient and observation coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Code physician services by reviewing medical records and encounter forms for Outpatient facilities.
• Assign EM levels for Office visits, Inpatient & Observation, Preventive visits, Critical care, ICD-10 diagnoses and modifiers per documentation and policy.
• Experience with facility coding including Immunizations, Vaccinations, Infusions and HCPCS CPT series.
• Understand client project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client turnaround time.

THE POSITION:

A medical coders main goal is to provide coding services to all the health providers who get paid for medical services rendered.

PREFERRED CANDIDATES :

• Graduation, life science background preferably Bio-Chemistry, Bio-chemistry, Microbiology, Physiotherapist, Pharmacy and Nursing. Minimum of 2 years EM Outpatient, Inpatient, and observation
• Should be CIC/CCS/CPC certified through AAPC/AHIMA
• Strong knowledge in anatomy and physiology
• Willing to work for Rotational shifts

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Accurately code physician practitioner services through review of medical record documentation and encounter forms for Outpatient facility.
• Assign EM levels pertaining to Office visit, EM Inpatient & Observation visit, Preventive visit, Critical care codes, ICD-10 diagnosis codes, and modifiers based on documentation, government teaching physician documentation requirements and LCD/NCD/ NCCI policies.
• Should have working experience in facility coding (Immunizations, Vaccinations, Infusions, Injections, HCPCS CPT series).
• Understand the client requirements and specifications of the project.
• Ensure that deliverable to the client is adhered to the quality standards and productivity TAT.
