Job summary

PAIX Services in Chennai (Guindy) seeks an experienced E/M OP Coder to join our team. You will accurately assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for outpatient encounters, ensuring compliance and high-quality documentation.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years of outpatient coding experience, a HIM-related degree (preferred) and coding certifications (preferred). You will collaborate with providers, participate in audits, and support process improvements while ensuring patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HIM or related field preferred.
• CPC, CCS or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of E/M coding experience in outpatient settings.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding rules.
• Proficient in coding tools and EHR systems.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign E/M codes for outpatient services.
• Apply CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes per documentation.
• Clarify documentation with providers when needed.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines, regulatory changes, and best practices.
