Job summary

Seven Seas Hospitality seeks an experienced Electrician for our Seven Seas Hotel, Rohini, New Delhi. The role focuses on electrical maintenance, installation, and safety.

You will work with Engineering & Maintenance, support guest services, and ensure compliance with FLS and standards, including rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• ITI certificate in Electrician trade or equivalent.
• 2–4 years hands-on electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience in hotels or large facilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, switchboards, panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and lighting across hotel areas.
• Diagnose faults and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure PPE usage and safe practices for high-voltage systems.
• Maintain logs of maintenance tasks and coordinate with other departments.

Job Description: Electrician

Location: Seven Seas Hotel, Sector 3, Rohini, New Delhi

Department: Engineering & Maintenance

Reports To: Engineering Supervisor / Chief Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Electrical Maintenance & Installation

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, switchboards, distribution panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and lighting fixtures across guest rooms, public areas, banquet halls, kitchens, and back-of-house areas.
• Repair and maintain electrical appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry machinery motors, and HVAC electrical controls.

2. Preventive Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Execute routine preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical installations to minimize downtime and prevent sudden equipment failures.
• Promptly diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, power trips, or equipment malfunctions, ensuring rapid response during guest emergencies or events.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe working practices when handling high-voltage systems.
• Inspect fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and exit signs regularly to maintain Fire Life Safety (FLS) compliance.

4. Cross-Functional Support & Records

• Maintain accurate logs of daily electrical maintenance tasks, power readings, equipment service histories, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, F&B, and Front Office teams to resolve guest room issues efficiently and maintain high guest satisfaction scores.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: ITI certificate in Electrician trade or equivalent technical diploma from a recognized institute.
• Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience, preferably within a 4-star or 5-star hotel, large commercial establishment, or upscale residential complex.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, control panels, and troubleshooting multi-phase power systems.
  • Valid electrical wireman license/permit is an advantage.
• Soft Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills; professional and courteous behavior when interacting with guests.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work in rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operational demands.
