Job summary

Sterling & Wilson is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead on-site electrical installation at a Dahej project in Gujarat. You will supervise day-to-day activities, allocate tasks to electricians and subcontractors, and ensure work adheres to approved drawings, specs, and schedules.

The role requires 3+ years in electrical/MEP project execution, ability to read layouts/SLDs, and strong safety and QA/QC collaboration with engineers.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in electrical/MEP project execution.
• Experience in large-scale projects (industrial, data center, hospital, hotel, building) will be an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and SLDs.
• Experience supervising electricians, helpers, and subcontractor manpower.
• Electrical Supervisor License/Permit, wherever applicable, will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day electrical installation activities at the project site.
• Allocate work to electricians, helpers, and subcontractor manpower and monitor productivity.
• Execute and supervise electrical works as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedule.
• Supervise installation of cable trays, conduits, cables, DBs, panels, lighting, small power, earthing, and other electrical systems.
• Ensure proper cable laying, dressing, glanding, termination, tagging, and testing.
• Read and interpret electrical layouts, SLDs, schematics, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, QA/QC, HSE, subcontractors, and other MEP disciplines for smooth execution.
• Monitor daily progress and report manpower, material requirements, and work status to the Electrical Engineer.
• Ensure availability and proper utilization of manpower, tools, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct toolbox talks and communicate safety requirements to the workforce.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, PPE requirements, electrical safety practices, work permits, and LOTO procedures.
• Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure work is completed right-first-time with minimum rework.
• Coordinate inspection and testing activities with QA/QC and Electrical Engineers.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Identify site issues, coordinate with concerned teams, and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain daily work records, progress reports, and other required site documentation.
