Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an Engineer - MEP - Site (Electrical and ELV) in India. The role focuses on executing and supervising electrical and ELV installations at the project site, ensuring compliance with design specs, safety norms, and project timelines.

The incumbent will coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient completion of electrical and ELV packages as part of the MEP scope, while maintaining quality and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
• Language Skills: Proficient in English; local language knowledge helpful for site comms.

Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise electrical and ELV installations including HT/LT systems, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and BMS as per drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with civil and MEP teams to integrate electrical and ELV works with overall site activities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards during installation and testing.
• Inspect installations, prepare snag lists, and coordinate with vendors/subcontractors for timely rectifications.
• Support in material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements for electrical and ELV systems.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical and ELV systems and ensure functional requirements.

The role involves coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient and timely completion of electrical and ELV packages as part of the overall MEP scope.

SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Execute and monitor electrical and ELV installations including HT/LT systems, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and BMS as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with civil and MEP teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and ELV works within the overall site activities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout installation and testing.
• Inspect and verify installations, prepare snag lists, and ensure timely rectifications in coordination with vendors and subcontractors.
• Support in preparation of material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements related to electrical and ELV systems.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical and ELV systems and ensure adherence to functional requirements.

SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
• Language Skills: Proficient in English; knowledge of local language preferred for site communication.

Experience

• Years of Experience: 3 – 22 years.
• Nature of Experience: Experience in electrical and ELV installation, supervision, and testing at construction project sites, with exposure to coordination with multidisciplinary teams and compliance management.
