Job summary

Utility Projects and Services (UPSPL) in Tamil Nadu is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and electrical systems. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of CNC, VMC, moulding machines, and EOT cranes.

Candidates should have D.EEE/B.EEE/ITI - Electrical with 3–10 years of experience in electrical maintenance, and be willing to work in rotational shifts, following LOTO and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Qualification as D.EEE/B.EEE/ITI - Electrical.
• 3–10 years of experience in electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain CNC, VMC, moulding machines and press machines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot EOT cranes, including motors, brakes, contactors, limit switches, VFDs and control panels.
• Handle electrical maintenance of plant utilities such as compressors, pumps, welding machines and motors.
• Troubleshoot PLC, VFD, sensors, control circuits, motors, starters and electrical panels.
• Read and understand electrical drawings and use instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter and Megger.
• Maintain PM schedules, breakdown records and ensure minimum machine downtime.
• Follow LOTO, electrical safety and 5S practices.

• Good electrical troubleshooting and breakdown-handling skills.

• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
