Job summary

Aarti Distilleries Private Limited in Kanpur Dehat is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to lead maintenance, power management and project execution for the distillery's electrical systems. The role emphasizes safe operations and efficient energy use.

You will drive PM programs, RCA, DG synchronization, and coordinate with automation teams to ensure reliable operations and optimized energy management across plant utilities and processes.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance and projects, preferably in a grain-based distillery.
• Experience in handling distillery electrical systems, captive power plants, boilers, turbines, HT/LT distribution, DG sets, VFDs, automation and electrical projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall electrical maintenance across the plant, including HT/LT systems, transformers, VCBs, ACBs, PCC, MCC, DG sets, motors, UPS and electrical distribution systems.
• Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of electrical systems supporting the distillery, power plant and utilities.
• Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Periodic Maintenance schedules.
• Lead troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance and ensure timely restoration of equipment.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of major electrical failures and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate electrical load management, DG synchronization and power distribution.
• Manage electrical maintenance activities for Distillery, Fermentation, Evaporation, CPU, CO and utility plants.
• Ensure smooth operation of electrical maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Production, Utilities, Mechanical and other departments for uninterrupted plant operations.
• Support optimization and capacity enhancement projects.
• Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of plant power generation and distribution systems.
• Manage electrical systems of steam turbine / power generation systems, boilers, DG sets and substations.
• Coordinate operation and maintenance of utilities such as: Chillers, Air Compressors, RO/Water Treatment Plants, DG Sets, LT Distribution Systems, Steam/Power systems.
• Lead electrical activities for plant expansion, modification and new projects.
• Prepare electrical requirements, load calculations and equipment specifications.
• Supervise erection, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines, budgets and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the Instrumentation & Automation team for smooth operation of process control systems.
• Provide electrical support for PLC, HMI, SCADA and VFD systems.
• Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety procedures and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).
• Conduct regular safety inspections of electrical installations.
• Ensure proper PPE and safe working practices for electrical personnel.
• Ensure compliance with statutory electrical safety requirements.
• Identify and maintain adequate stock of critical electrical spares.
• Prepare annual/monthly spare requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely procurement.
• Lead and manage electrical engineers, supervisors, electricians and technicians.
• Ensure discipline, productivity and adherence to safety procedures.

Job description

Objective of the Role:
