Job summary

The role requires 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, and site execution of electrical control panels for process automation, with a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as primary technical representative at customer project sites for electrical control panel and process automation activities.
• Maintain and update site-level electrical documentation (as-built drawings, schematics, GA drawings, wiring manuals, test certificates).
• Identify and resolve site technical snags, wiring defects, and hardware/software communication issues in control panels (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relays, contactors).
• Interact with client engineers and stakeholders to clarify technical doubts and explain system operations.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and customer-facing Site Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience in Electrical Control Panels and Process Automation. The candidate will be deputed directly at customer project sites to serve as the primary technical interface. Responsibilities include managing site-level electrical control panel documentation, resolving site technical and wiring issues, handling client queries, and ensuring smooth installation, testing, and handover of automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Deployment & Representation: Act as the primary technical representative at customer project sites for all electrical control panel and process automation related activities.
• Documentation Management: Maintain, update, and manage all site-level electrical documentation, including as-built drawings, schematics, GA drawings, wiring manuals, and test certificates.
• Technical Troubleshooting & Wiring Support: Identify, analyse, and resolve site technical snags, wiring defects, and hardware/software communication issues in control panels (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relays, contactors, etc.).
• Customer Coordination & Doubt Clearance: Interact professionally with client engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to clarify technical doubts, explain system operations, and address site concerns promptly.
• Testing & Commissioning Support: Assist in site acceptance testing (SAT), loop checking, I/O signal testing, and final system commissioning alongside the internal or client engineering teams.
• Punch List & Corrective Actions: Log site snags, prepare punch lists, and coordinate with the manufacturing/quality team at the base plant for corrective and preventive actions.
• Progress Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly site inspection reports, snag logs, and handover documentation for internal management and customer sign-off.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to site safety guidelines, use standard personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure safe electrical practices during troubleshooting and testing.

Candidate Profile & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, or Instrumentation.
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, or site execution of Electrical Control Panels for Process Automation.
