Job summary

HTS Switchgears in Pune is seeking an Executive Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical design projects from concept to completion, focusing on switchgear systems and panel design (HT/LT).

You will prepare SLDs, GA drawings, BOMs, and coordinate with mechanical, procurement and production teams, while guiding junior engineers and maintaining client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
• Strong knowledge of switchgear systems, panel design, and electrical distribution.
• Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD, MS Excel, ERP and design calculation tools.
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and drafting of electrical systems including SLDs and wiring diagrams.
• Generate part codes for electrical equipment using EPLAN and ERP systems.
• Prepare and review drawings for HT and LT Panels per IEC/IS standards.
• Select and specify electrical switchgear components.
• Independently handle electrical design projects from planning to delivery.
• Guide junior engineers in drawing preparation and documentation.
• Coordinate with mechanical, procurement and production for project execution.
• Communicate with clients to capture requirements and address feedback.
• Manage client calls/meetings for revisions on drawings.
• Ensure timely submission of BOMs, cable schedules and reports.

• Prepare and review detailed drawings for both HT and LT Panels, ensuring compliance with IEC/IS standards.
• Select and specify Electrical Switchgear Components.
• Independently handle Electrical Design Projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• Guide and support Junior Engineers in drawing preparation and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments (mechanical, procurement, production) for seamless project execution.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand requirements, present designs, and incorporate feedback.
• Handle client calls and meetings to address comments and revisions on drawings.
• Ensure timely submission of reports, BOMs, cable schedules, and other project documentation.
