Job summary

ITC Limited is seeking a seasoned Site Engineer for on-site execution in Karnataka. You will oversee day-to-day domain engineering activities, ensure drawings and specifications align with contractor requirements, and monitor consultant performance.

The role requires 8-12 years of hands-on construction experience, strong budgeting skills, and rigorous safety practices. Collaboration with Architects/Consultants and Contracts teams is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 8-12 years hands-on site execution experience in construction.
• Basic quantity estimation, budgeting, design parameters, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and ensure availability of correct, consistent and comprehensive drawings and specifications with the contractor.
• Monitor delivery and work quality of consultants and PMCs; drive efficiency and escalate issues for corrective actions.
• Responsible for day-to-day site work of domain engineering as per plan.
• Review weekly and monthly reports of assigned packages; escalate issues and drive corrective actions.

Project Planning

• Co-ordinate with architects / consultants to finalize layouts and statutory drawings
• Submit schedule of domain engineering work packages ( mechanical/ civil / electrical domain)
• Evaluate BOQ / tender drawings submitted by consultants
• Prepare and review Level 3 plans for domain engineering work packages

Budgets, tendering & contracting

• Forecast the amount of work to be executed and hence plan the cash flows
• Collaborate and co-ordinate with Contracts & Purchase Team for BOQs, tenders and contracts related issue

Vendor Management & Payables

• Monitor milestones against project plan
• Review and approve first-level sign off on the measurement sheets, payments

Quality & Safety

• Ensure implementation of construction QA/ QC processes
• Assist in quality & safety audits at sites

Compliance & Audits

• Ensure adherence to all systems & processes as required by the organization

Requirements

• B.E / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from an institute/University recognized by UGC / AICTE
• 8-12 years of hands-on experience in site execution profile from construction industry
• Basic quantity estimation, budgeting, design parameters, Safety practices
