Job summary

IQuest Management Consultants seeks an Electrical Engineer (Field Service) for installation, commissioning, and service of metal stamping presses in India. The role requires 8–10 years of field experience, strong Siemens S7 PLC knowledge, and hands-on expertise with servo motors and Beckhoff HMI/IPC systems.

Role involves site visits, troubleshooting, and developing electrical circuits for upgrades, with frequent travel across India. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of field experience in Electrical/Electronics/Automation, preferably in machine tool or metal stamping presses.
• Travel across India for service activities and client support.
• Ability to design/modify electrical circuits and PLC programs for upgrades.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs, Profibus/Profinet/Ethernet for troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills; ready for technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns on presses with electrical, PLC, servo motor issues.
• Support customers technically during installation and commissioning at site.
• Understand electrical circuits and implement modifications for upgrades.
• Develop new electrical circuits and PLC programs for press applications.
• Travel frequently and document service reports with data.

Job description

Job Description indicating some of the core Roles & Responsibilities of the position: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER: Installation & commissioning i.e. FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER.
Location: Pune
Age: between 30 to less than 35 Years
Reporting to: Head of Service (Service Head)

• To attend the breakdowns on the presses related with electrical circuits, PLC & Servo motors, frequency convertors, encoders and other electrical elements.
• To support customer technically, during the installation & commission the presses at the customer site.
• To understand the electrical circuits of different presses and use this knowledge and understanding for any troubling of faults, installations & commission of the old or new presses and perform any modification in the electrical circuits.
  
• Candidate should have the good knowledge of preferably Siemens S7 series of PLC`s. He should able to read and modify the PLC logics for identifying the faults and troubleshooting.
• Candidate should be well conversant with the communication protocols of Siemens S7 PLC like Profibus, profinet, Ethernet and troubleshoot the related errors.
• Candidate should have good knowledge on the Siemens convertors, invertors, Servo Motors and should able to attend the problem independently.
• Candidate should have hands-on experience on working on Siemens, or Beckhoff industrial PC`s and HMI.
• To develop the new electrical circuit & PLC program required for the electrical up gradation.
• Candidate should able to design and modify existing electrical circuit if required.
• Candidate should able to design and develop independently the new electrical circuit and electrical panel for the press applications.
  
• Candidate should have basic knowledge of mechanical elements like Hydraulic valves, pneumatic valves, lubrication lines and their functioning.

Background

• Candidate should have preferable experience of machine tool industries, or from Metal Stamping Press Line Service background from reputed Manufacturer.
  
• Candidate must have 8/10 years of experience in field of Electrical/Electronics/ Automation
  
• Candidate must have Field Service background.
  
• Candidate should have flexible attitude for the different requirement of service activities.
  
• He should be ready travel at any time all over India.
  
• Candidate should have good understanding on customer needs & should exhibit such actions.

• Should have keenness to learn and adapt the cultural differences for harmonious work.
  
• Excellent skill on MS office suite inclusive of MS Excel and Power Point Presentations.
