Job summary

Teliolabs Communication is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to manage installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of factory machinery in semiconductor fabs. You will work closely with OEMs and fab operations to maximize uptime and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires hands-on experience in industrial environments, proficiency with PLCs/automation, and ability to travel to client sites for preventive and corrective maintenance.

Location: Ahmedabad

I. Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Sr. Field Service Engineer to manage installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of factory machinery and equipment in semiconductor manufacturing fabs. The role involves working closely with original equipment makers and fab operations to ensure maximum uptime, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

II. Mandatory Skills

• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Experience in manufacturing or factory environments.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Understanding of PLCs, automation systems
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in field conditions.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

III. Secondary / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and semiconductor manufacturing process will be a big plus.
• Familiarity with equipment maintenance standards and documentation.
• Process engineering and knowledge of semiconductor processes will be a plus.
• Experience working with semiconductor inspection and test systems will be a plus.

IV. Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive Maintenance (PM):

• Execute all scheduled preventive maintenance activities as per OEM manuals and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure timely servicing of machines to avoid breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and compliance.

2. Corrective Maintenance:

• Perform immediate diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
• Carry out repairs and ensure minimal downtime of machinery.
• Coordinate with OEMs or vendors for complex technical issues when required.

3. Performance Monitoring:

• Conduct daily machine walkthroughs and inspections across the factory floor.
• Monitor equipment performance using real-time data logging and analysis.
• Identify potential risks and near-miss failures and take proactive corrective actions.

4. Inventory Management:

• Manage on-site spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
• Maintain proper documentation and tracking of spare parts usage.
• Coordinate procurement to replenish stock in a timely manner.

5. Operator Training:

• Provide on-the-spot training and guidance to machine operators.
• Ensure equipment is used within defined operational parameters.
• Promote best practices for safe and efficient machine handling.

V. Qualification and Work experience

• Qualifications - Must Have

Education: B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Related Field.

• WorkExperience

3–5 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance or related areas.

Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a growth mindset.
