Job summary

Infosys is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support engineering and execution activities for Thermal Power Plants, Combined Cycle Power Plants, and Oil & Gas projects. You will work on power evacuation systems, generators, transformers, bus ducts, switchgear, and distribution networks, collaborating with EPC teams and external stakeholders to ensure IEC,

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support engineering and execution activities for Thermal Power Plants, Combined Cycle Power Plants, and Oil & Gas projects. This role involves electrical system engineering, equipment specification, design calculations, technical bid evaluation, vendor document review, and support to quality and commissioning teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in power evacuation systems, generators, transformers, bus ducts, switchgear systems, and electrical distribution networks, along with experience working on large-scale EPC and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical equipment specifications, datasheets, and engineering documents.
• Perform electrical design and sizing calculations for various power system components.
• Develop and review engineering deliverables related to power evacuation and electrical distribution systems.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and support vendor selection processes.
• Review vendor drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and equipment lists.
• Provide technical support to procurement, quality, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Support troubleshooting and technical issue resolution during project execution.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders.
