Responsibilities

• Handle complete electrical maintenance of CR/HR steel production lines.
• Troubleshoot AC drives and DC drives used for rolling mill and line-control applications.
• Parameter setting, fault diagnosis, commissioning, and troubleshooting of VFD/AC drives and DC drives.
• Troubleshoot drive-related problems: motors, encoders, feedback, and communication.
• Work on PLC-based automation systems including hardware, I/O, signals, and control logic.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs—inputs, outputs, interlocks, sequences, machine logic.
• Work on HMI and SCADA systems for monitoring and process control.
• Maintain electrical control panels, MCCs, PCCs, PLC panels, drive panels, and field wiring.
• Ensure proper functioning of protection, interlocks, emergency-stop, and safety systems.
• Follow LOTO, electrical safety, PPE and plant safety procedures.
• Supervise electrical technicians during maintenance and project activities.

Role & responsibilities

• Handle complete electrical maintenance of CR/HR steel production lines.
• Troubleshoot and maintain AC drives and DC drives used for rolling mill and line-control applications.
• Carry out parameter setting, fault diagnosis, commissioning, and troubleshooting of VFD/AC drives and DC drives.
• Troubleshoot drive-related problems involving motors, feedback systems, encoders, speed references, current/voltage feedback, and communication.
• Handle PLC-based automation systems, including PLC hardware, I/O modules, digital/analog signals, communication networks, and control logic.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs and identify faults related to inputs, outputs, interlocks, sequences, and machine logic.
• Work on HMI and SCADA systems for monitoring, alarm diagnosis, parameter setting, and process control.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical control panels, MCCs, PCCs, PLC panels, drive panels, and field wiring.
• Handle AC/DC motors, contactors, relays, breakers, overloads, sensors, encoders, proximity switches, limit switches, and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot communication between PLC, drives, HMI/SCADA, and other automation equipment.
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical and automation equipment.
• Attend electrical and automation breakdowns and take corrective action to minimize production downtime.
• Analyze repeated failures and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain electrical drawings, PLC backups, drive parameters, maintenance records, and equipment history.
• Support installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement of PLC and drive-based control systems.
• Coordinate with production, mechanical, instrumentation, and automation teams during breakdowns and maintenance.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical protection, interlocking, emergency-stop, and safety systems.
• Follow LOTO, electrical safety, PPE, and plant safety procedures during maintenance work.
• Supervise electrical technicians and contractors during maintenance and project activities.
