Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited is seeking an Engineer - E&E to lead packaging of electrical & electronics components for tractor environments. You will design harness layouts, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with Bosch guidelines and tooling standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in automotive packaging, hands-on experience with UG NX/Creo, and ability to release drawings in Teamcenter on time while supporting manufacturing with installation drawings and interface

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in automotive packaging or wiring harness design.
• Experience in wiring harness design per Bosch guidelines.
• Proficient in UG NX and Creo for CAD layout and routing.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging of electrical & electronics components for tractor environment.
• Develop 3D packaging concepts and 2D installation drawings.
• Release drawings in Teamcenter/PLM on time to meet project targets.
• Coordinate with build team for fitment trials and report outcomes.
• Prepare the packaging interface document and sign-off inputs for new components.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve design constraints.
• Provide solutions for packaging related failures and drive DFMEA/DFMEA activities.

Engineer - E&E Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Candidate to have

• To be capable of packaging the electrical & electronics components into vehicle (Tractor) environment by understanding the requirement.
• Excellent skills on Wiring harness CAD layout & routing using UG NX /Creo software/Creo
• Must have experience in wiring harness design as per Bosch Guideline
• Design skills of switch component placement, channels for wiring harness, clamps, ECU mounting brackets etc.
• Basic tooling knowledge on plastic and sheet metal brackets.
• Capable to understand the weight details for all components
• Need to participate in Benchmarking activities & provide VAVE ideas.
• Able to discuss with functional teams/supplier and solve design constraint.
• Analysing & providing the solution for packaging related failures and working with respective teams to reduce/eliminate the failures in new projects.
• Should be capable to release the drawing in team centre on time to meet the project targets timeline.
• Creation of 3D section for packaging concepts at vehicle condition.
• Prepare the packaging interface document - sign-off and reviewing the critical inputs before tool kick-off of all new component development
• Responsible for installation drawing preparation by providing all the necessary inputs required for manufacturing.
• Coordination with build team for fitment trail & report to be submitted.
• Understanding & providing requirement for Surface Finish (texturing) & draft angle on A-surface component when needed…
• Basic knowledge on ECU`s, Sensor, Alternator, Starter, Battery, etc.
