Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in Vadodara seeks a senior Electrical Designer with strong Physical Design expertise for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.

You will lead a design team, deliver complete electrical physical design packages, coordinate with civil, mechanical and I&C, and ensure compliance with IE Rules, OISD, NFPA and IEC standards. The role is senior and hands-on and focuses on project delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior designer with extensive experience in electrical physical design for large-scale projects.
• Experience delivering complete electrical physical design packages.
• Proficient in compliance with IE Rules, OISD, NFPA and IEC.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop high-quality Physical Design deliverables for Electrical discipline in line with Indian and international codes and OEM practices.
• Prepare and review various electrical layouts including substation, transformer yard, power, earthing, cable tray, trench, illumination, bus duct and capacitor bank layouts.
• Perform Vendor Drawing Review and Approval.
• Carry out estimation of electrical bulk items and drive Value Engineering initiatives for BOQ optimization.
• Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical and I&C teams and with clients and suppliers.
• Conduct 3D Model reviews with clients and secure approvals.
• Lead a team of designers to meet project deliverables and timelines.
• Perform Illumination Design using Dialux or equivalent software.
• Ensure compliance with IE Rules, OISD, NFPA, IEC.

We are looking for a seasoned Electrical Designer with strong expertise in Physical Design for large-scale Energy & Infrastructure projects to join our Green Energy business at Vadodara.This is a senior hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering complete electrical physical design packages for renewable and power projects.Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and develop high-quality Physical Design deliverablesfor Electricaldiscipline in compliance with Indian & International codes, standards, and OEM practices.
• Prepare and review various electricallayouts including:
• Substation Layout
• Transformer Yard Layout
• Power Layout
• Earthing Layouts
• Cable Tray & Trench Layouts
• Illumination & Lightning Protection Layout
• Bus Duct Layout
• Capacitor Bank Layout
• Perform Vendor Drawing Review & Approval.
• Carry out estimation of electricalbulk items (cables, cable trays, earthing materials, termination kits, illumination systems, JBs, glands, etc.).
• Drive Value Engineeringinitiatives for optimization of ElectricalBulk BOQs.
• Coordinate effectively with internal disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, I&C) and external stakeholders including clients & equipment suppliers.
• Conduct 3D Model reviews with clients and secure approvals.
• Lead a team ofdesigners to meet project deliverables and timelines for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Perform Illumination Designusing Dialuxor equivalent software.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes & standards (IE Rules, OISD, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
