Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Kolkata seeks a design and engineering specialist to develop electrical system studies and design calculations for industrial plants. You will prepare design basis, philosophies, and engineering specifications, and design MV/LV power distribution, SLDs, load lists, and distribution schemes.

You will also design substations, MCCs, PCCs, perform load estimation and cable sizing, prepare technical datasheets, review vendor drawings, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load lists, and power distribution schemes.
• Design substations, switchgear systems, motor control centers (MCCs), and PCCs.
• Perform electrical load estimation and cable sizing calculations.
• Design earthing/grounding, lightning protection, and plant illumination systems.
• Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment.
• Review vendor drawings and documents for compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material requisitions.

• Resolve site-related electrical engineering issues and provide technical guidance.
