Job summary

PeopleStrong in Kolkata is seeking a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering to contribute to design and coordination of electrical systems for industrial plants. You will develop MV/LV distribution, prepare SLDs, load lists, and equipment datasheets, and review vendor drawings to ensure project alignment.

Job Description

• Develop electrical system studies and design calculations for industrial plants.
• Prepare electrical design basis, philosophies, and engineering specifications.
• Design Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) power distribution systems.
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load lists, and power distribution schemes.
• Design substations, switchgear systems, motor control centers (MCCs), and PCCs.
• Perform electrical load estimation and cable sizing calculations.
• Design earthing/grounding, lightning protection, and plant illumination systems.
• Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment.
• Review vendor drawings and documents for compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material requisitions.

• Resolve site-related electrical engineering issues and provide technical guidance.
