Job description

• Prepare and develop electrical designs, schematics, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and detailed electrical drawings.
• Create and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or other relevant design software.
• Prepare cable schedules, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, termination drawings, and interconnection diagrams.
• Develop electrical layouts for power distribution, lighting, earthing, cable routing, and equipment connections.
• Interpret electrical specifications, design requirements, datasheets, and project standards.
• Perform basic electrical calculations for load schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit levels, and equipment selection.
• Prepare and maintain BOQs, cable schedules, equipment lists, material take-offs, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, instrumentation, procurement, and project teams.
• Review vendor drawings, technical documents, and equipment specifications.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable IEC, IS, NEC, IEEE, and project/client standards.
• Revise drawings based on engineering changes, site requirements, and client comments.
• Conduct design checks and ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper revision control.
• Support site teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Participate in design reviews and resolve electrical design-related issues.
