Qualifications

Role Description

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical systems for commercial and residential building projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing load calculations, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, power distribution plans, and equipment specifications. The role involves coordinating with mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines, reviewing architectural drawings, and resolving design conflicts to maintain an integrated MEP solution. The engineer will support project documentation, respond to design queries, and assist in revisions based on plan check reviews and client feedback. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Surat.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including building power distribution, lighting design, grounding, and short-circuit/load calculations.
• Proficiency in design and drafting tools used for building services (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM platforms) and standard productivity software.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards (such as NEC or equivalent), and familiarity with U.S. building design practices is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings, coordinate with other disciplines, and resolve design clashes in a collaborative environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to accurate, quality-focused design documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; prior experience in building services or MEP design is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Surat, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and adapt to evolving client and regulatory requirements.
