Job summary

Kent Data Centres in Mumbai is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with 8–12 years of experience in Data Centre, MEP, infrastructure and power projects to lead electrical design from concept to detailed engineering, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8-12 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering.
• Experience in Data Centres, MEP, infrastructure, or mission critical facilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ETAP.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, electrical distribution, UPS, DG, and earthing.

Responsibilities

• Develop concept and detailed electrical designs for Data Centre and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review SLDs, layouts, schematics, design calculations, specifications, and BOQs.
• Perform load calculations, cable sizing, short-circuit studies, and protection coordination using ETAP.
• Design MV/LV distribution systems, UPS, DG, transformers, switchgear, and earthing systems.
• Review vendor documents, technical submittals, and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, Structural, BIM, and Project teams for integrated design.
• Conduct site due diligence and provide technical support during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, quality, and safety requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, and issue resolution when required.

• Design and engineer MV/LV distribution systems, UPS, DG, transformers, switchgear, and earthing systems.
• Review vendor documents, technical submittals, and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, Structural, BIM, and Project teams for integrated design delivery.
• Conduct site due diligence and provide technical support during project execution.

Preferred

• Exposure to Testing & Commissioning or Project Execution.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA standards.
• Experience with Tier-rated Data Centres and redundancy philosophies (N, N+1, 2N).

Mandatory Requirement

Hands-on Electrical Design Experience is Mandatory.
