Job summary

Integrated Personnel Services seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and review electrical systems for oil and gas projects, and to prepare SLDs, load lists, BOMs, and related documents. The role emphasizes delivering accurate diagrams and calculations for project success.

The candidate will work on HV/LV distribution, arc flash analyses, and ensure documents are delivered on schedule with high quality engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical designs for Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical projects.
• Prepare and review SLDs, load schedules, power layouts, cable schedules, lighting layouts, and earthing/protection diagrams.
• Perform electrical equipment sizing and selection.
• Design HV/LV power distribution systems as per project requirements.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical System Design

• Develop and review electrical designs for Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical projects.
• Prepare and review:
• Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
• Electrical load schedules
• Power distribution layouts
• Cable schedules
• Lighting layouts
• Earthing and lightning protection layouts
• Control and interconnection diagrams
• Perform electrical equipment sizing and selection.
• Design HV/LV power distribution systems in accordance with project requirements.

2. Electrical Engineering Calculations & Studies

• Perform electrical engineering calculations and system studies using ETAP.
• Conduct:
• Load Flow Studies
• Short Circuit Studies
• Motor Starting Studies
• Voltage Drop Calculations
• Protection Coordination Studies
• Arc Flash Analysis, where applicable
• Review study results and recommend technically suitable solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, stability, and operational safety.

3. Engineering Deliverables

• Prepare, check, and review electrical engineering deliverables, including:
• SLDs
• Load Lists
• Equipment Datasheets
• Electrical Specifications
• Cable Schedules
• Cable Sizing Calculations
• Material Requisitions
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Electrical Layouts
• Technical Reports
• Ensure engineering documents are accurate and issued as per project schedules.
• Maintain proper document and revision control.
