Job summary

Sweco is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Bengaluru, India, to collaborate closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to deliver projects. Responsibilities include supporting designs for electrical works, providing technical input, and ensuring project requirements are met efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, excellent communication skills, and 5+ years of relevant experience in Building Services projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of UK construction standards are also essential.

Job description

As a Electrical Engineer, you'll work closely with other experienced mechanical and electrical engineers along with colleagues in other disciplines from across the wider Building Services Division in the UK to deliver projects by:

• Supporting outline and detailed designs and specifications for electrical works.
• Providing day to day technical input as part of a team of engineers and technicians.
• Ensuring design output is completed in accordance with the agreed scope of works, timescales and budgets.
• Working in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines as required to deliver project requirements and added value to the Client.
• Virtually attending and participating in internal team meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.Tech) or Master’s degree (M.Tech) in Electrical engineering
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer or be working towards achieving chartered status with a relevant professional institution.
• Current UK sustainable design solutions and integration into the electrical design solutions
• 5 + years’ experience for Intermediate engineer
• Proved expertise in Building Services project experience
• Good understanding of BS7671
• Lighting design and analysis usingDialux to CIBSE codes and guidance (Including Emergency Lighting to BS 5266)
• Lightning protection designs to BS EN 62305
• Fire alarms to BS EN 5839
• Knowledge of BS 9999 & BS 9991
• Access control CCTV and Security
• Technical layout capability and spatial coordination
• Technical schematics capability
• The ability to manage a variety of projects meeting varying deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills working alongside architects and contractors to consider problems and come up with innovative solutions.
