Job summary

Iquest Management Consultants is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Gujarat with 9-10 years of experience in electrical design for industrial projects. You will perform calculations, prepare layouts, and develop ELV-IT systems while ensuring compliance with IS, NBC, and IEC standards.

The role involves collaboration with detailers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver detailed construction documents and BOQ/BOM for major electrical projects, including lighting and LPS design.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech / M.E./M.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• 9-10 years of relevant experience in electrical design (Industrial segment preferred).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux, MS Office, and ETAP.
• In-depth knowledge of IS, NBC, and IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design calculations such as short circuit analysis, earthing calculation, lighting calculation, cable sizing, equipment sizing, and LPS design.
• Develop detailed construction documents including lighting layout, cable tray layout, power distribution layout, cable routing, cable schedule, LPS layout, earthing layout, and ELV system layout.
• Prepare BOQ/BOM for entire electrical projects.
• Design and layout for ELV-IT systems, including structured cabling, CCTV, security systems, and more.
• Ensure designs comply with IS, NBC, and IEC standards.
• Conduct inspection and routine testing of electrical equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
