We are an industrial automation company engaged in the design, development, manufacturing and commissioning of custom automated machines and industrial equipment.
Our machines involve PLC-based control systems, servo motors and drives, stepper motors and drives, VFDs, induction motors, pneumatic cylinders, solenoid valves, sensors, HMI systems and industrial electrical control panels.
We are looking for a hands-on Electrical & Automation Engineer who can take responsibility for the electrical and automation aspects of a machine from design through assembly, programming, commissioning and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Design
- Design electrical control systems for industrial automation machines.
- Prepare electrical schematics, control circuits and wiring diagrams.
- Select appropriate MCB, MCCB, contactors, relays, SMPS, fuses, terminals, cables and other electrical components.
- Design machine control panels and prepare panel layouts.
- Prepare electrical BOMs, cable schedules, terminal plans and I/O lists.
- Carry out electrical load calculations and component sizing.
- Ensure proper electrical protection, earthing and control-panel safety.
2. PLC & HMI
- Develop and modify PLC programs for automation machines.
- Configure PLC digital and analog I/O.
- Develop machine sequences, interlocks and control logic.
- Develop and modify HMI screens.
- Implement alarm, fault and diagnostic systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC and HMI-related issues during machine commissioning.
3. Motion Control
Hands-on experience with:
- Servo motors and servo drives
- Stepper motors and stepper drives
- Positioning systems
- Encoders
- Motion control
- Servo homing and positioning
- Acceleration/deceleration parameters
- Basic servo tuning and troubleshooting
Candidate should be capable of understanding the application requirement and selecting/sizing an appropriate motor and drive.
4. VFD & Motor Control
- Selection and commissioning of VFDs.
- Configuration of VFD parameters.
- Control of induction motors.
- Motor protection and starter circuits.
- Troubleshooting VFD, motor and control‑circuit faults.
- Understanding of speed, frequency, torque and acceleration requirements.
5. Pneumatic Automation
Candidate should understand the electrical interface of pneumatic systems, including:
- Solenoid valves
- Pneumatic cylinders
- Reed/proximity sensors
- Pressure switches/sensors
- FRL systems
- Cylinder extend/retract feedback
- Pneumatic sequence control
Ability to understand and troubleshoot pneumatic circuits will be an advantage.
6. Sensors & Instrumentation
Hands-on experience with:
- Inductive proximity sensors
- Photoelectric sensors
- Capacitive sensors
- Limit switches
- Magnetic cylinder sensors
- Encoders
- Pressure sensors
- Analog 010 V / 420 mA signals
- Digital and analog I/O
7. Machine Assembly & Commissioning
- Supervise/perform electrical panel assembly and machine wiring.
- Carry out point‑to‑point wiring checks.
- Perform I/O testing.
- Commission PLC, HMI, VFD, servo and stepper systems.
- Conduct machine dry runs and automatic cycle testing.
- Troubleshoot electrical, control and automation problems.
- Conduct FAT and SAT activities.
- Travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning when required.

- Allen‑Bradley / Rockwell
- Omron
- Delta
- Schneider
- Other industrial PLC platforms
Experience with multiple PLC platforms will be an added advantage.
Software Skills
Candidate should be comfortable working with:
- PLC programming software
- HMI programming software
- Electrical CAD / EPLAN / AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent
- Drive configuration software
- MS Excel / documentation tools
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a hands-on engineer, not only a design/documentation engineer.
The ideal candidate should:
- Be comfortable working on machines and control panels.
- Be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Have good troubleshooting skills.
- Be able to use a multimeter and other electrical test equipment.
- Understand PLC I/O and machine sequences.
- Be willing to work during machine assembly and commissioning.
- Be able to independently diagnose electrical and automation faults.
- Have good communication and documentation skills.
- Be willing to travel to customer sites when required.

Important
This is a hands-on engineering position. Candidates who have only theoretical knowledge of PLCs/electrical systems but do not have practical machine commissioning and troubleshooting experience may not be suitable.
