Job summary

Decotouch Paints Limited seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to service and repair industrial electrical systems in our manufacturing setup. You will perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of motors, panels, and power distribution equipment.

You will diagnose faults, test insulation and circuits, monitor parameters, and ensure strict adherence to safety standards. A proactive approach to minimizing downtime and maintaining records is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in motors, pumps, compressors, and other machinery.
• Maintain and repair electrical panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, distribution boards, and control panels.
• Inspect and maintain circuit breakers, contactors, relays, transformers, and switchgear.
• Diagnose faults in electrical wiring, control circuits, and power distribution systems.
• Carry out maintenance of motors, starters, VFDs, and soft starters.
• Monitor electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power factor, and load.
• Perform insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, and earthing checks.
• Maintain electrical maintenance records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Coordinate with production and other maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards and workplace safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in electrical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuits.
• Familiarity with electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, and megger testers.
• Knowledge of industrial motors, protection systems, and electrical safety practices.
