Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in India invites an experienced EHS professional to lead policy and compliance, risk assessment, training, environmental management, and audit activities across sites.

The role focuses on developing and implementing local and international regulations, driving a strong safety culture, conducting investigations, and coordinating ISO and statutory audits.

You will maintain records, report to management, and liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure timely and accurate EHS reporting.

Responsibilities

• Policy & Compliance: Develop and implement EHS policies, ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
• Risk Assessment & Safety Management: Identify hazards, assess risks, implement controls, lead investigations and root cause analysis.
• Training & Awareness: Organize EHS training for employees and contractors, promote safety culture, conduct drills.
• Environmental Management: Monitor waste, emissions, water usage, ensure proper disposal and pollution control, drive sustainability.
• Audits & Reporting: Conduct internal audits, coordinate external audits (ISO, statutory bodies), maintain EHS records and reports.

• 3) Training & AwarenessOrganize EHS training programs for employees and contractors.Promote a strong safety culture across the organization.Conduct safety drills (fire, evacuation, emergency response).
• 4) Environmental ManagementMonitor environmental impact (waste, emissions, water usage).Ensure proper waste disposal and pollution control.Drive sustainability and environmental initiatives.
• 5) Audits & ReportingConduct internal safety audits and inspections.Coordinate external audits (ISO, statutory bodies).Maintain EHS records and prepare reports for management.
