Hydro Prokav Pumps India Pvt Ltd in Coimbatore is seeking an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) & Maintenance Manager to lead site EHS, Sustainability, Engineering Maintenance, Utilities and Facility Management.

You will drive ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, manage maintenance programs, lead safety initiatives, coordinate energy and waste management, and guide a cross‑functional team to improve equipment reliability and safe operations.

Qualifications

• BE mechanical or electrical with 10–15 years of experience.
• Experience in ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 environments.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination.
• Budgeting and vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance planning and execution to ensure reliable plant operation and safety compliance.
• Drive EHS, compliance and safety programs, including audits, incident investigations, and CAPA.
• Oversee environment and sustainability initiatives, KPI reporting, and ESG related activities.

Job Summary

The EHS & Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the site's Environment, Health & Safety, Sustainability, Engineering Maintenance, Utilities and Facility Management functions.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Planning & Execution

• Full statutory and regulatory compliance
• Prevention of injuries, occupational illnesses and environmental incidents
• Implementation of corporate EHS policies and standards
• Effective ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
• Reliable and safe operation of plant machinery and utilities
• Preventive and predictive maintenance effectiveness
• Equipment reliability and reduction of unplanned downtime
• Effective energy and resource management
• Engineering and EHS project execution
• Sustainability and emission reduction
• Emergency preparedness
• Continuous improvement in safety, environmental and operational performance

EHS, Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS and statutory requirements, including TNPCB, DISH, Fire & Rescue Services, CEIG, DTCP and other regulatory authorities.
• Manage statutory licenses, consents, approvals, renewals, registers, inspections and regulatory submissions.
• Implement and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including internal/external audits, management reviews and CAPA closure.
• Lead HIRA, JSA, Permit-to-Work, LOTO, contractor safety and high-risk activity controls.
• Drive accident prevention, SIF/Fatality Prevention, safety inspections, near-miss reporting and proactive safety programs.
• Lead incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions.
• Maintain Emergency Response Plans and conduct periodic mock drills for fire, chemical spills, medical and other emergencies.
• Conduct EHS training, employee engagement and safety awareness programs to strengthen site safety culture.

Environment & Sustainability

• Manage environmental compliance covering air emissions, effluent, hazardous waste, chemical management, water, energy and waste disposal.
• Manage applicable EPR compliance, authorized waste vendors and environmental documentation.
• Drive energy efficiency, GHG emission reduction, renewable energy, water conservation, recycling and waste-reduction initiatives.
• Collect, validate and report EHS and sustainability performance data to corporate stakeholders.
• Support Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 GHG accounting, ESG reporting, LCA and Product Carbon Footprint initiatives, as applicable.
• Develop and monitor environmental and sustainability KPIs against corporate targets.

Maintenance, Engineering & Utilities

• Lead overall mechanical, electrical, utility, facility and infrastructure maintenance activities.
• Develop and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and availability.
• Monitor equipment performance through PM compliance, downtime, MTBF, MTTR and repeat breakdown analysis.
• Lead RCA for major equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Ensure reliable operation of electrical systems, compressors, HVAC, water systems, fire protection systems and other plant utilities.
• Manage electrical safety and CEIG compliance, including preventive maintenance and statutory inspections.
• Plan shutdown maintenance, critical spare requirements, AMCs and maintenance service contracts.
• Lead engineering, safety, sustainability and energy-efficiency improvement projects.
• Manage contractors and vendors for maintenance and engineering activities with strong EHS controls.
• Prepare and control EHS and maintenance budgets, optimizing cost without compromising safety, compliance or equipment reliability.
