Del Pd Pumps & Gears as Ingersoll Rand Inc. in Surendranagar, Gujarat, is seeking an Operations Engineer cum Supervisor to oversee daily production, CNC/VMC machining, assembly and testing of gear pumps, and to ensure targets, quality, and shop-floor discipline.

The role requires leading operators and coordinating with maintenance, planning, and quality teams. The position involves Lean manufacturing, 5S practices, and ERP/MRP updates, with a six-day workweek and emphasis on safety and

Competenze

• B.E or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering required.

Mansioni

• Execute daily production plans for machining, assembly, and testing operations.
• Supervise CNC, VMC operators and shop-floor manpower.
• Ensure achievement of shift-wise production targets.
• Monitor WIP and ensure smooth material flow on the shop floor.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for quick breakdown resolution.
• Ensure machining and assembly adhere to drawings, tolerances, and SOPs.
• Conduct in-process inspections and coordinate with Quality for corrective actions.
• Lead, guide, and motivate CNC/VMC operators and helpers.
• Identify bottlenecks and support Lean, 5S, Kaizen initiatives.

Job Summary

The Operations Engineer cum Supervisor is responsible for executing daily production activities, supervising CNC/VMC machining operations, assembly, and testing of gear pumps. The role ensures production targets, quality standards, machine utilization, and shop‑floor discipline while leading operators and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Execution & Supervision
• Execute daily production plans for machining, assembly, and testing operations.
• Supervise CNC/VMC operators and shop‑floor manpower.
• Ensure achievement of shift‑wise production targets.
• Monitor WIP and ensure smooth material flow on the shop floor.
• CNC / VMC Machining Operations
• Supervise CNC, VMC, and machining center operations.
• Ensure correct loading of programs, tooling, fixtures, and offsets.
• Monitor cycle times, machining quality, and productivity.
• Support setup changes, first‑off approval, and process adherence.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for quick breakdown resolution.
• Quality Assurance at Shop Floor
• Ensure machining and assembly adhere to drawings, tolerances, and SOPs.
• Conduct in‑process inspections and ensure defect‑free production.
• Coordinate with Quality team for rejection analysis and corrective actions.
• Reduce rework and scrap through process discipline.
• Team Handling & Workforce Management
• Lead, guide, and motivate CNC/VMC operators and helpers.
• Allocate manpower as per skill requirements.
• Train operators on machining processes, quality standards, and safety.
• Maintain attendance, discipline, and shift handover reports.
• Process Improvement & Productivity
• Identify bottlenecks, losses, and improvement areas.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM initiatives.
• Improve machine utilization and OEE.
• Support tooling optimization and cycle time reductions.
• Coordination & Reporting
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Materials teams.
• Prepare daily production, downtime, and efficiency reports.
• Ensure ERP/MRP updation for production and material consumption.
• Safety & Housekeeping
• Ensure safe working practices and proper PPE usage.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
• Identify and report safety hazards and near misses.

Educational Qualification

• B.E / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
