Growth For Impact is seeking an HSSE specialist to ensure compliance with client HSSE policies and drive performance reporting against KPIs. You will support training, audits and risk management while promoting a proactive safety culture across accounts.

The role requires coordinating with senior managers, staff and contractors, developing training programs, and keeping abreast of legislative changes affecting health, safety and environmental management.

• Proven history of implementing environmental, health and safety systems and processes.
• Experience in HSSE in similar environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel internally as required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage with all organisational levels.

• Facilitate delivery and management of HSSE, supporting staff to achieve compliance and performance reporting against KPIs.
• Support training, audit, measurement and reporting of HSSE performance against agreed standards.

• Implement practical risk management strategies.
• Provide guidance on health and safety risk management at all levels of the Accounts.
• Secure development of a positive HSSE culture throughout the Accounts.
• Support goals of achieving/maintaining ISO14001 & OHSAS18001/ISO45001 standards.
• Support audits and inspections and ensure timely reporting of HSSE performance.
• Establish effective relationships with senior managers, account teams, clients and contractors.
• Deliver an HSSE training programme based on the JLL HSSE training model.

ROLE

• – Ensure alignment and compliance with all client HSSE policies and practices.
• – Facilitate delivery and management of HSSE, supporting staff to achieve compliance and performance reporting against JLL and client HSSE metrics and KPIs.
• – Support training, audit, measurement and reporting of HSSE performance against agreed standards.
• – Promote a positive, proactive HSSE culture and influence stakeholders.
• – Implement practical risk management strategies.
• – Provide guidance and advice on health and safety risk management at all levels of the Accounts.
• – Secure development of a positive, proactive HSSE culture throughout the Accounts.
• – Support IFM’s goals of achieving/maintaining ISO14001 & OHSAS18001/ISO45001 standards.
• – Support work teams to secure operational HSSE compliance, including support for HSSE audits and inspections.
• – Establish effective relationships and work closely with senior managers, account teams, clients and contractors.
• – Deliver an HSSE training programme based on the JLL HSSE training model.
• – Keep abreast of legislation, advise the account of changes impacting the business.
• – Produce and update policy proposals and procedural amendments reflecting legislative changes, best practice or advice.
• – Support staff with completion of HSSE risk assessments and identification of appropriate control solutions.
• – Assist with investigations into incidents or accidents with health & safety and/or environmental consequences and maintain appropriate records.
• – Coordinate implementation of HSSE monitoring procedures to ensure timely internal management reporting of performance.
• – Provide guidance to staff on obtaining competent assessments of health & safety and/or environmental risk and report on control of that risk.
• – Analyse site audit results and report regularly to line management on HSSE risk management performance.
• – Identify, organise and attend appropriate HSSE communication forums.
• – Liaise with HSSE specialists across JLL to ensure common standards of HSSE best practice worldwide.
• – Meet operational objectives specified by relevant business leaders.
• – Meet personal objectives stipulated within JLL’s Individual Performance Management Process.
• – Apply a pragmatic and cost‑effective approach to HSSE management.
• – Identify conclusions or approaches to problems, including strengths and weaknesses of existing systems and alternative solutions.
• – Identify measures or indicators of system performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance relative to system goals.
• – Perform any other duties deemed appropriate by Heads of HSSE or Account Directors.

REQUIREMENTS

• – Proven history of implementing environmental, health and safety systems and processes.
• – Relevant HSSE experience in a similar environment.
• – Willingness and ability to travel internally as required.
• – Strong results orientation with ability to deliver objectives and provide creative, innovative solutions.
• – Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage with all organisational levels.
• – Ability to work unsupervised, take initiative and resolve issues independently.
• – Proactive foresight regarding existing and potential problems.
• – Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and common software applications.
• – Ability to research, produce management information, specialist reports and make recommendations.
• – Strong organisational skills; ability to balance competing demands and meet deadlines.
• – Strong business acumen and ability to identify trends and root causes of problems.
• – Ability to conduct audits and gather objective evidence through observation, interview, and document sampling.
• – Good analytical skills to analyse audit results and report on HSSE performance.
