Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Safety Officer to support the Site/EHS In-charge by implementing safety initiatives, conducting regular inspections, and coordinating safety audits. The role requires coordinating with site teams to ensure safety compliance and program implementation.

You will prepare safety reports, train staff and contractors, and ensure timely analysis of safety statistics. A BE or related safety qualification, with strong communication and teamwork skills, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or safety-related diploma as required.
• Professional safety certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety legislation and labour laws.

Responsibilities

• Work with Site/Factory EHS In-charge to implement safety initiatives.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor activities.
• Coordinate internal/external safety audits/inspections.
• Coordinate with site teams to implement EHS programs and initiatives.
• Assist on compilation and analysis of safety reports/statistics.
• Carry out workplace trainings and inductions for staff/contractors.

Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:

• To work with Site/Factory EHS In-charge to implement safety initiatives.
• To conduct regular site inspection & monitoring of various site/factory activities
• To coordinate /conduct internal / external safety audits / inspections
• To coordinate with Site/Factory team and implement the EHS programs / initiatives.
• To coordinate with Contractors Safety Marshals to implement the safety programs at site.
• To assist on timely preparation and analysis of compilation of safety reports/statistics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide support to Site/Factory management for implementation of Safety requirements and prioritize Safety initiatives for successful delivery.
• Conducting workplace inspections and safety audits
• Identify key safety risks in the operations, and carry out risk assessments for the activities at sites
• Identify and coordinate with different site/factory departments for safety related compliances
• Carry out safety training and induction for staff/contractors.
