Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) seeks an EHS professional to implement and monitor safety policies across Utilities/Process/Construction sectors in India. You will lead training, inspections, and incident investigations to uphold high safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds diplomas or BE/BTech in relevant fields with Industrial Safety credentials; NEBOSH/IOSH is desirable, and experience with ISO 14001 & 45001 is expected. On-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical with 4-16 years OR BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical with 4-10 years experience.
• Advance Diploma/Post Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by State Tech Edu Board or B Tech/Masters in Industrial Safety Engg.
• Desirable: NEBOSH IGC / IOSH certification
• Experience with ISO 14001 & 45001 in Utilities/Process/Construction sectors

Responsibilities

• Implementing and monitoring EHS Policy, Programs, and Procedures
• Conducting and ensuring worker training on safety laws, regulations, and use of safety equipment
• Identify and eliminate unsafe practices through inspections and audits
• Maintain firefighting equipment, PPE and other safety gadgets
• Increase health and safety awareness at all levels
• Monitor compliance with EHS legal requirements and report findings to IC Head
• Coordinate training of safety personnel (first aid, CPR, accident prevention and investigation, inspections)

Should have experience with in-depth understanding of EHS standards including ISO 14001 & 45001 at Utilities/Process/Construction industries.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Policy, Programs, and Procedures
• Conducting and ensuring worker/staff training in such as safety Laws and Regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
• Facilitate Identifying and eliminating unsafe practices and unsafe conditions through inspections and audits.
• Ensuring regular maintenance of all firefighting equipment, personal protective equipment and all other safety gadgets.
• Increasing health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
• Monitoring the compliance of all the EHS legal requirements and presenting the findings to IC Head.
• Coordinating the training of safety personnel, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention and investigation, workplace inspections and other matters related to implementing safety procedures.
