Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Safety and Compliance professional to lead EHS requirements across project sites. You will ensure the EHS Management System is implemented, monitor inspector performance, and coordinate training for staff, visitors, subcontractors, and workmen.

The role involves identifying legal requirements, advising on non-compliances, conducting site inspections, organizing EHS campaigns, investigating incidents, and establishing emergency procedures to protect people and assets.

Facilitate implementation of EHS requirements at the workplace.Ensure implementation of the EHS Management System.Monitor the performance of EHS Inspectors.Recruit and select EHS Inspectors as per project requirements.Identify training needs and conduct EHS training for staff, visitors, subcontractors, and workmen.Evaluate compliance with applicable legal requirements.Advise Project Manager and CEHSM on EHS non-compliances and compliance requirements.Identify and incorporate project-specific legal requirements in Project EHS Plans.Conduct periodic site EHS inspections and report findings for corrective action.Act as a catalyst for Project EHS Committee activities.Review and appraise site EHS performance and drive improvements.Ensure proactive EHS performance monitoring through various monitoring systems.Prepare and update Project EHS Plans.Prepare EHS Risk Assessments and Safe Work Methods.Report EHS observations to Project Manager for continual improvement.Organize EHS campaigns, competitions, and special emphasis programs.Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.Analyze incident trends and initiate corrective actions.Establish, implement, and maintain emergency preparedness and response procedures at project sites.
