Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an EHS professional to facilitate the implementation and monitoring of EHS requirements at Mumbai project sites. You will ensure adherence to the EHS Management System and oversee Inspectors, delivering training to staff, visitors, subcontractors and workmen.

The role involves legal compliance evaluation, incident investigation, and driving continuous EHS improvements across project sites.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing EHS requirements at workplaces.
• Knowledge of EHS management systems and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of EHS requirements at the workplace.
• Ensure implementation of the EHS Management System.
• Monitor performance of EHS Inspectors.
• Recruit and select EHS Inspectors as per project requirements.
• Identify training needs and conduct EHS training for staff, visitors, subcontractors, and workmen.
• Evaluate compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Advise Project Manager and CEHSM on EHS non-compliances and compliance requirements.
• Identify and incorporate project-specific legal requirements in Project EHS Plans.
• Conduct periodic site EHS inspections and report findings for corrective action.
• Act as a catalyst for Project EHS Committee activities.
• Review and appraise site EHS performance and drive improvements.
• Prepare and update Project EHS Plans.
• Prepare EHS Risk Assessments and Safe Work Methods.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Establish, implement, and maintain emergency preparedness and response procedures at project sites.
