Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Chennai is seeking an HVAC modelling engineer to translate engineering input into accurate 3D models. The role requires basic HVAC knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD and MEP Revit to draft ducting and piping layouts.

Responsibilities include coordinating with electrical, fire safety, plumbing, architecture and structural teams to ensure clash-free models and proper maintenance space layouts for HVAC elements.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC modelling and layout drafting.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Awareness of maintenance space requirements for HVAC elements.

Responsibilities

• Modelling HVAC systems as per Engineering team input.
• Prepare ducting and piping layouts with annotations.
• Create chiller plant and AHU room layouts.
• Coordinate with Electrical, ELV/ICT, Fire, Piping, Architecture & Structure teams for clash-free model.
• Knowledge on Revit families and assisting development of new families.
• Ensure modelling allows maintenance space for equipment, dampers, valves, etc.

Job description

• To do the modelling of HVAC systems as per Engineering team input
• Basic Knowledge on HVAC systems
• Knowledge on AutoCAD, MEP Revit
• Coordination with Electrical, ELV / ICT, Fire Engineering, Fire Alarm systems, Public Health Engineering, Piping systems, Architecture & Structure
• Preparation of ducting layouts, piping layouts, schematics with necessary annotations
• Preparation of Chiller plant layouts, AHU room layouts
• Coordinate with other stakeholders for the development of clash free model
• Modelling of supports for Pipes, Ducts
• Coordinate with modellers for the development of layouts and coordinate for clash free model
• Knowledge on Revit families and assisting for the development of new Revit families
• Ensuring the development of modelling considering the required maintenance space for all HVAC elements like Equipment, Dampers, Valves etc.,.
