Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks a BIM Electrical Modeler to create, develop, and maintain 3D electrical models for buildings and infrastructure using Autodesk Revit. The role supports design coordination, clash detection, and construction documentation for project delivery.

Responsibilities include building 3D electrical BIM models, coordinating with MEP disciplines, performing clash detection with Navisworks, and ensuring BIM standards and project requirements are followed.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-10+ years of BIM Electrical Modeling experience depending on grade.
• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, or data center projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical design drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D electrical BIM models using Revit and other BIM tools.
• Model electrical systems including: power distribution, lighting, earthing and lightning protection, fire alarm, low-voltage (CCTV, Access Control, PA, Data & Telecom).
• Prepare electrical layouts, sections, schedules, and detailed drawings.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, and Architectural disciplines.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve model conflicts.
• Extract quantities, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings with project teams.

A BIM (Building Information Modeling) Electrical Modeler is responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining 3D electrical models for buildings and infrastructure projects using BIM software such as Autodesk Revit. The role supports design coordination, clash detection, construction documentation, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D electrical BIM models using Revit and other BIM tools.
• Model electrical systems including:
  • Power distribution
  • Lighting systems
  • Earthing and lightning protection
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Low-voltage systems (CCTV, Access Control, PA, Data & Telecom)
• Prepare electrical layouts, sections, schedules, and detailed drawings.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, and Architectural disciplines.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve model conflicts.
• Ensure BIM standards, project requirements, and quality procedures are followed.
• Extract quantities, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings with project teams.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP.
