Job summary

GoodSpace AI is seeking an Operations professional in Mumbai to own stock procurement, demand-driven purchasing, and margin controls. You will manage vendor relationships, chase on-time deliveries, and maintain stock accuracy across warehouses and sales channels.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in e-commerce operations, procurement, supply chain or inventory management.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets with formulas, pivots, and large datasets.
• Daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT/Claude) for reports and automation.
• Strong knowledge of sneakers, streetwear, and product SKUs.
• Cost and margin awareness; able to identify bad buys.
• Vendor management experience; able to chase deadlines.
• Problem-solving mindset; proactive and decisive.
• Fluent English and Hindi; Marathi a plus.

Responsibilities

• Procure stock from vendors based on demand and arrange timely delivery.
• Read demand signals to buy what sells, what’s rising, and what’s dead.
• Maintain cost/margin awareness and flag non-viable buys.
• Keep accurate stock across warehouse and all channels.
• Chase vendors on open orders and ensure on-time arrivals.
• Coordinate with accounts to keep vendor payments clean.
• Oversee inwards and outwards, logging every unit and discrepancy.
• Reconcile returns and RTO back into stock or write-off.
• Understand authentication to route stock correctly and catch issues.
• Oversee warehousing and shipping operations with the warehouse team.
• Resolve issues between customer experience and purchasing; close loops.
• Build reports on stock health, vendor performance, ageing inventory, fulfilment gaps.
• Own KPIs: stock accuracy, vendor on-time rate, fulfilment gaps, ageing stock.
• Be the go-to person for location and status of every unit.

Job description

• Procure stock from vendors — the right product, the right quantity, at the right time, based on demand
• Read demand: what's selling, what's about to, what's dead — and buy accordingly
• Cost and margin awareness — know what we paid, what we sell at, and flag when a buy doesn't make sense
• Maintain accurate stock across the warehouse and all channels
• Chase every vendor on every open order; make sure stock arrives when promised
• Coordinate with accounts so vendors get paid on time and our credit stays clean
• Oversee inwards and outwards — every unit logged, every discrepancy caught
• Reconcile returns and RTO back into stock — restock or write off
• Know the authentication process well enough to route stock correctly and catch problems before dispatch
• Oversee warehousing and shipping operations alongside the warehouse team
• Resolve issues between customer experience and purchasing — you close the loop, whichever team it lands with
• Build reports on demand: stock health, vendor performance, ageing inventory, fulfilment gaps
• Own the KPIs: stock accuracy, vendor on-time rate, fulfilment gap, ageing stock
• Be the person who knows where every unit is and why

What we need

• 3–6 years in e-commerce operations, procurement, supply chain or inventory management
• Crazy good with Excel/Google Sheets — VLOOKUP, pivots, large datasets, building trackers from scratch
• Uses AI daily — ChatGPT/Claude for reports, vendor comms, data cleanup, automating repetitive work. This is not optional
• Understanding of sneakers, streetwear and consumer products — sizing (UK/US/EU), colourways, SKUs, release cycles. Strong interest in the category is essential
• Cost and margin awareness — you know what a bad buy looks like
• Vendor management experience — negotiating, chasing, holding people to dates
• Problem-closer mentality: you fix it or you elevate with a plan
• Young, hungry, wants to grow with a company that’s scaling
• English and Hindi; Marathi a plus
• Graduation not mandatory if experience is strong

• Hours: Mon–Sat, 10:30 AM – 8:30 PM. Sunday off
• Location: Work from office, Andheri West (Versova), Mumbai. No work from home
